Updates and Shit

First off, The Iron Lung Mixtape II is out now. Our track on it is from our 2011 demo session and hasn't been released prior. This tape is good. Really fucking good.

Next we've just finished mixing and sequencing two new records. One is our long overdue 7" for Iron Lung Records and the other is a 12" that hasn't necessarily  been picked up yet. I've been talking to someone but nothing is confirmed yet. Jensen and Jon are on a wicked long tour right now so I don't know when the IL record will be out. Art and details to follow.

Finally we have a few shows coming up over the next few months:

Replica and Effluxus are throwing a joint record release party on February 22nd at the Swamp in Oakland.  Our bass player Max's other band Caged Animal will be playing too. This will be a mosh tsunami.

Boston boys The Rival Mob are coming out to the Bay and playing 2 shows on March 8th. We'll be joining them for the second show that night at the legendary "Mab" in San Francisco. This will be a pretty mixed bill and a killer show.
Flesh World is a new SF band comprised of members of Limp Wrist and OPT//OUT. Get into it.

The last weekend of June a three-day celebration of More Than Music and Sarah Kirsch is taking place in the Bay. I have a lot of personal feelings on this but since they are personal they don't belong here. I will say that an unreal collection of people and bands are getting together to participate and the fact that we were invited to join means an incredible amount to me. This Is Not A Step is going to be a hell of a weekend.

7" OUT

Our first 7" is now out and available through Hesitation Wound Records, Sorry State, and from us directly. We did a limited (around 50, hand numbered) "tour edition" for our ill fated but still awesome West Coast tour last week. Most of those are gone but we'll have the remaining few for sale at our upcoming Bay Area shows:

4/15 @ Sugar Mountain in Oakland with SICKOIDS (fuck their new LP is so fucking good), EFFLUXUS, OPT OUT, and REPLICA. Info

4/27 @ The Oakland Metro with TRAGEDY, TALK IS POISON, REPLICA, and NEGATIVE STANDARDS

Updates...

HESITATION WOUND 7": We've sent everything for the 7" to Hesitation Wound Recs and now we wait. We hope to have them for tour; maybe a tour edition. Who knows?

IRON LUNG 7": Our friends over at Iron Lung Records have invited us to record a 7" as part of their unofficial "2-song single" series. I think ours will be #9 (if the No Statik one was #8) We will be recording with Greg Wilkinson at Ear Hammer Studio again but in keeping with the tradition of the series we'll be doing things a little differently. That's all I can say about the recording now. We're hoping to have the record out this spring.
In the meantime we will have an unreleased track on IRON LUNG MIXTAPE VOL. II. This weekend Jensen told me some of the bands that are going to be on the next tape. Holy shit it's going to rip.
